1. Sin is not just an act (though it is). Sin is also a process.
It begins not just with sin, but with questioning whether God should be so strict. It continues with natural curiosity, which leads to temptation, which leads to little sin, then bigger sin, then to disaster, defeat and destruction.
2. Watch out for curiosity.
“Curiosity killed the cat.” It’s good to be curious about spiritual things, but not about carnal things.
3. The power of Satan to bind you and keep you is in the secrecy of your sin.
4. You will never live in victory until you get away from the pressure and the presence of temptation.
5. Curiosity, temptation, and sin must be opened up to God and others so they can help protect you against future defeat.
