Marriage was not the invention of man, but was the key part of God’s creation that He viewed as being “very good.” God’s goal for a husband and wife, mentioned at least six times in the Bible, was that they be “one flesh.” This “oneness” was to extend to many different areas of human life. The husband and the wife were each given by God roles and responsibilities that when put together made one whole, complete unit of life. ANYTHING A HUSBAND OR WIFE DOES WHICH DAMAGES THEIR ONENESS NEEDS TO BE EXAMINED. This message shows eight of the advantages of oneness while also pointing out three of the enemies of oneness which couples should avoid at any cost. In order to experience the fullness of marital joy that only comes through oneness couples are encouraged to “grow together” and to “die to self.”
